Oddlot means basically a random assortment of odds and ends, which is exactly what this album is. It features seven songs, all recorded at various times in quite a range of live situations, from solo radio performances to full-on riotous band happenings. The sound quality is, shall we say, less than crisp, and there remain all the charming surprises (a.k.a. screw-ups) that make a live performance what it is. It’s not so much an album as it is a collection of souvenirs of moments that seemed worth remembering, and a little thankyou present for the folks who come out to shows and transform the live-music experience into something magical.
